CHRISTMAS

The sparkling of lights carried merriment and good cheer.

Travelers and carolers smile within the cold brisk breeze.

Cold noses, fingers and toes long for the covered warmth of home.

To catch a wisp of pine and hot coco.

Families cozy with love filled arms awaiting their return.

Arms full of purchased treasure and gifts for all.

A coat to block the winter breeze.

Knee high warm fuzzy socks that reached receptive knees.

Tinkling of bells that rang out in the night against hung Christmas wreath and doors trimmed in garland.

With a childlike anxiousness awaits a special night.

Young as well as old listens for the whispered

Merry Christmas to all and to all good night.
